The Mission

In our nine years together Micah and I have never stayed in Kentucky for the holidays. We have always traveled to Oklahoma, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Maine, or New Jersey. Needless to say we are sad to not be spending the holidays with our extended families but we plan to make the 90 days between fall break and going back to school after New Years a very special time. Oh the places you'll go....

Our computer has been on the fritz, but I've got it working today so I'm going to do a quick recap of all the things we've been doing as a family.

We drove to Rend City, IL for Micah's last Triathlon of the season. It was a beautiful day to hang out on the little beach and play in the sand. It took him just over 4hrs. to finish and we were all so proud of him.

One very rainy day Gentry (and his class) went to the apple orchard:

Watching the apple squisher make apple sauce (he thought this was awesome)

In a daze on the hay ride

Then we went to the pumpkin patch with Grey's class, the rain held off until we drove away, but boy was it muddy.

Then the boys decided to go camping in the great outdoors (it was under 40 so I opted out).

The we headed to Carter Caves to meet up with Grandpa and stay a few nights in a cabin.

When you add in all the little day to day stuff we've done on top of this crazy lot we've been one busy family!
