I looked at Micah the other night and thought OH CRAP, his birthday is in a week. I can't believe it. Grey wants to give him a party at the bowling alley...and I think that's a perfect idea. So next Sat, we'll be there if you want to join us.</div><div><br /></div><div>We have Fall Festival tonight at the boys school, the kids always have so much fun at these things (and I'm sure we'll have a blast running the Lollipop Tree game :-)</div><div><br /></div><div>We made it to the Train on time last weekend and the kids thought it was the coolest. They got a ticket at the station and the conductor punched their tickets just like the Polar Express. Grey even got to sit up front with the conductor and pull the whistle.</div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401004079961962354" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5iuGZT2CMWf8YhOBPtf8h3lNNsYzT3y4wxlBtirlc-QA78dZR2F_0ae_H7ZtPSmkHuKr5_KxHue6vEjUA2kE7p2ILXMCvM5G7ZijqZ63UfpyIa3j2m3ejH_7Jx3W1rvclNwumuxVHq3Ba/s320/train.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401004084539150690" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-SPlqvl_08lOGdyMvEOP-5sEb50YSw28qa5gpFzj3_53SPPkZdhoWc7_ohql5EQCzsE0vO78yldeJ4ypKstuaZHrmjUg6JoP_EPljwk5IkS-dtkYdjrLWjcw5fxIb-kGvGqVJFL1oUKeg/s320/train2.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401004087650641010" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigMEB83kSKorBYe_NAXVWLDnoq_iOlxCjnx88cOdA77iJhY6ZPF-MZD5Qjz825CxqMJL5f6jFmWcH2wca97SlQKVQvfg1Tq1ip7y0XI414qJQFhLdlG8R3Y0aGXwtURaSoHlmeg_mUPkLh/s320/train3.JPG" border="0" /></div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401004092980951138" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 234px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggRZx0ciI13w4RnnOPbt7Eee0S_vaIkcu-ngVMST7lqmG2PUW4421x8FWD9saIQc9mK9a6MGCb4jiIO0QbyvlHi9Fwcf-nTT5o3rQqWjdQJKQINPWFEpgipMakItCS1xPUt0NgXOQHYr60/s320/train4.JPG" border="0" />I plan to start working on a quilt for a friend this month. We went to the <a href="http://www.henryclay.org/">Henry Clay House</a> and had our picture taken <a href="http://kristintatemphotography.com/">Kristin Tatem</a>, a wonderful photographer and friend from Lexington. She was so great with the boys, catching shots as the bounced all over the place, rolled in leaves, hung from trees, and climbed the walls. I cannot wait to see the sneek peek on <a href="http://www.kristintatem.blogspot.com/">her blog </a>(it should be up soon). <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398385421621596258" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 250px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR5ckY3XNRq6aLMdajANetDjj1zi35jAGXP_XX8_rN9s5GmevxMFTkt2Dpw8ViqUAF-k4ki2jNs755YWLVBKLQZT0igWKc_a3QKhrV3e0RH2scCh8jZ-4RClE7m_8Wj5mW_GAj0xobPPjp/s320/outfits.JPG" border="0" /><em>Here's some of our outfits</em><br /><div><div>But by the time we got home and put the kids to bed we were exhausted. We almost went to bed at 8:15pm but decided that we should stick it out a bit longer. So I put together goody bags for Grey's class party today. </div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398385425884304386" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiljujL9SrRAe5cVP-Yzfmyu4LZ0aMGAHQAlSPKdnXb-GnUuvcVI2tqpsq7olFEyieQslcccrHJpqqBxWvz9u7EGk9WWXM5hG7vG-2KV1LUTdXAcy7a7xRkE79dZ9oOeWNg9hyphenhyphentpeQ5nMr7/s320/goodies.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div>Then we got up bright and early to get everyone ready and out the door by 6:45 for Doughnuts with Dad. After the crew headed out I sat down to a cup of coffee and waited for the little guys return (no school today) and as the sunrise caught my attention I realized that I haven't actually watched the sunrise since Micah and I went to Mexico. So I walked outside and had a moment to myself....it was so pretty I took a picture :-)<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398385430452287330" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 208px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEO9_owtwTUl6xBNFZgUdziTmVeh4n893EuUD40bB9snNE_GuuBHls5w28NfNbjR32Ts3qGGK8lGDzO51sT4R0vyyN8iuNI5Qd0K8WvwqkmT-oXhxVmpcCw8Aq82Gdz_AKqdHMCWGLIZRv/s320/sunrise.JPG" border="0" /></div></div><br /></div>Mrs. Needhamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09058718815701646360noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683747913635032585.post-19908536327693974662009-10-29T08:49:00.003-04:002009-10-29T08:56:17.250-04:00First of many<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixw68ZBgnAOUIW3BGcHQ0GO2FaUVFC8jcg148F0BRsjmM_5KiZ24WI7EZzwpMkcEwXWmDM_FVz2iBKVyFIoTGhFumpN1Bp77nTZ5WtraznW3XSdDMYhg17DREHMZJiAWbJdOO_h4WHwAdb/s1600-h/costumes2.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398004433295840274" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 238px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixw68ZBgnAOUIW3BGcHQ0GO2FaUVFC8jcg148F0BRsjmM_5KiZ24WI7EZzwpMkcEwXWmDM_FVz2iBKVyFIoTGhFumpN1Bp77nTZ5WtraznW3XSdDMYhg17DREHMZJiAWbJdOO_h4WHwAdb/s320/costumes2.JPG" border="0" /></a> Gentry the friendly Dragon, and Grey the man eating Bat<br /><br />Last night was our first Halloween party of the week. We went Trunk or Treating at the boys school/our church and they had a great time. Their Daddy taught them the old rhyme "trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat, if you don't, I don't care, I'll pull down your underwear". I am SO proud. Grey and I got out the glue gun, button stash, and some cute pumpkins that I got at the grocery and made a little "guy" to be the proud owner of Gentry's blue baby.<br /><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5397307138292218242" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhedjXwzFYjsNYG9pAhM2zK-c9nl8NtBIFSx_m5odAIIdPBZlKC4uIDXT7XpiArJgVQoOci2rEIy4j9RdkpS8G8hcNXVjkV26LR74XXybSW6EgtL5-Sle5cPtm9WjlL5dJLmeekgJa_toZp/s320/pumpkinguy2.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div><div> I spray painted the pumpkins that to boys picked up last week with a <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">clear coat</span> and put them up on the shelf (I love that they went for the really warty ones.) <div> </div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVegJVabGYBD_MsguJ0k0msH3x71JER8BTY8glfX0bfeLLac7CBsCzASh0HJH4gkRclFJ17LXENmoTXSZPmKRlRLVWUWMxdQQHtJLUhBwQYbIy9F3sjX9lO8jzBiuVXbZN69Hja7tvhF1S/s1600-h/mantle.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5397303235326332162" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 222px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVegJVabGYBD_MsguJ0k0msH3x71JER8BTY8glfX0bfeLLac7CBsCzASh0HJH4gkRclFJ17LXENmoTXSZPmKRlRLVWUWMxdQQHtJLUhBwQYbIy9F3sjX9lO8jzBiuVXbZN69Hja7tvhF1S/s320/mantle.JPG" border="0" /></a> Then I decided to make Micah and I a new stockings, we've had store bought ones for years but they just don't feel very festive. So I cut up some old damask curtains that I had in a closet. I cut up a red flannel shirt and plan to embroider the cuffs with our names and use the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">pockets</span> to sew to the inside so we can tuck little love letters to each other in there. The sun was shining, the bride was radiant, and the groom beamed from ear to ear....it was a good time. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Tendai</span> was a groomsman at our wedding and we've known them as a couple for over 7 yrs, it was definitely nice to see their relationship solidified. You know, as a married couple there are some friends that you really really want to get married because you know how much fun it will be to grow old with them, these guys are on that list. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Tendai</span> and Micah went to Speed School together and there's nothing louder than when those to get to laughing (and T laughs A LOT), and Carissa has always been the one person at a party that I can sit in the corner and chill with. We usually spend the months of Nov.Dec.&Jan. traveling cross country to be with our extended families, but we are trying to save money this year so we will be in Kentucky. It's a double edged sword knowing that on one hand this winter will be unlike any we've ever had, but even knowing that I want to stay positive and make it super special for us as a family.<br /><br />If you know us you know that we are big on making traditions, so with that being said I'm going to try and really start a few new ones that we can continue as the boys get older. Here are a few of my goals for the next 90 days.<br /><br /><strong>October</strong><br /><br /><ul><li>Field trip to the Pumpkin Patch</li><br /><li>Camping Trip</li><br /><li><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Keeneland</span> fall meet</li><br /><li>Bluegrass Scenic <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Railroad</span></li></ul><p><br /><strong>November</strong> </p><ul><li>Fall Festival at <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">CCC</span></li><br /><li>Tour Ale-8-One</li><br /><li>Visit the Arboretum</li><br /><li>Thanksgiving at our house</li><br /><li>Mommy/Daddy Getaway</li></ul><br /><br /><p><strong>December</strong><br /></p><ul><li>Go to either the Radio City Christmas/Nutcracker</li><br /><li>Winchester Christmas Parade</li><br /><li>Go cut down our tree</li><br /><li>Advent calendar</li><br /><li>Sledding at Jacobson Pk.<br /></li></ul><p>I'm sure lots of extra things will work their way in and I plan to make everything we do open to all our friends, who for the next 90 days will become like family.</p><br /><br /><p></p>Mrs. Needhamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09058718815701646360noreply@blogger.com2
